Combined Degree Programs
- DMD/MPH
A dual degree program where dental students can earn a Master of Public Health with Dental Emphasis through ATSU-CGHS during their four years of dental school.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- Advanced Standing International Dentist Track (ASID) - A 28.5-month track for internationally trained dentists to earn a DMD, starting with a semester-long didactic and clinical simulation course followed by entry into the D3 year.

Research Themes:
Clinical Experiences
An integrative, competency-based curriculum where students spend Years 1 and 2 in Kirksville focusing on basic sciences and simulation, and Years 3 and 4 in St. Louis for clinical patient care.
Clinical Rotations:
- St. Louis Dental Center - Primary clinical site operated in partnership with Affinia Healthcare, serving underserved populations in St. Louis.
- Integrated Community Service Partnerships (ICSP) - D4 students complete three external rotations (approximately 10 weeks total) at over 50 community health centers, IHS clinics, and mobile dental units.
