By accessing or using OpenDentistry, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

OpenDentistry provides dental-school research, comparison, application-planning, community, messaging, Cycle Results, and DAT preparation tools. Features and availability may change over time.

OpenDentistry is an independent informational service and is not a dental school, admissions office, testing organization, lender, or professional adviser.

• Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• Protect your password and do not share access to your account.
• Notify OpenDentistry if you suspect unauthorized account use.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

School profiles may combine information from official schools, public sources, community reports, and other references. Although the service aims to present useful and accurate information, admissions requirements, dates, costs, policies, and statistics can change or be incomplete.

Always verify consequential decisions directly with the relevant school, centralized application service, testing organization, or other authoritative source. OpenDentistry does not guarantee admission or predict an individual outcome.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant OpenDentistry a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not violate another person's rights. Direct messages are intended for their participants but may be processed as needed for delivery, security, abuse investigation, and legal compliance.

You may not:

• Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory conduct.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Publish private, confidential, infringing, or malicious content.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, usage limits, moderation, or security controls.
• Introduce malware, disrupt the service, or probe systems without authorization.
• Use automated collection or scraping in a manner that burdens the service or violates applicable law.
• Use another person's account or collect information about users without permission.

OpenDentistry may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content and may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, comply with law, or maintain the service. Anonymous public posting does not prevent internal account association for moderation and safety.

AI-generated responses may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. They are educational aids and are not professional, medical, legal, financial, or admissions advice. Verify important information with an authoritative source before relying on it.

OpenDentistry's branding, interface, original content, and service organization are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party school names, marks, and materials belong to their respective owners. Open-source components remain governed by their applicable licenses.

The service may link to or rely on third-party websites and providers. OpenDentistry does not control their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted access, accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenDentistry will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses resulting from reliance on school data, admissions outcomes, user content, AI output, service interruptions, or third-party services. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

You may stop using the service at any time. OpenDentistry may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, risk to users or the service, prolonged inactivity, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that logically survive termination will continue to apply.

These terms may be updated as the service changes. Material updates will be identified by a revised date and, when appropriate, an additional notice. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
