Clinical Experiences
GSDM uses a competency-based curriculum emphasizing comprehensive and holistic patient care, digital dentistry, and early clinical exposure through a simulation learning center and group practices.
Clinical Rotations:
- APEX (Applied Professional Experience) - A clinical rotation in the first year providing practical experience in either intramural or extramural settings.
- Externship Program - A required 10-week extramural rotation in the fourth year at sites including military installations, VA hospitals, and community health centers.
