Research Opportunities
Research Themes:
Clinical Experiences
ECU uses a unique community-based model where students spend their first three years at Ross Hall in Greenville and their entire fourth year rotating through regional service centers.
Clinical Rotations:
- Community Service Learning Centers (CSLC) Rotations - Fourth-year students complete three 9-week rotations (27 weeks total) at eight locations across North Carolina: Ahoskie, Brunswick County, Davidson County, Elizabeth City, Lillington, Robeson County, Spruce Pine, and Sylva.
- GPR Medical Rotations - Residents rotate through anesthesiology, otolaryngology (ENT), family medicine, and emergency medicine at ECU Health Medical Center.
- Hyde County Outreach Clinic - A monthly outreach program where students and residents provide care in a county with no practicing dentists.
