Combined Degree Programs
- DMD-PhD
A rigorous 8-year program integrated with the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) program at HMS.
- DMD-DMSc
A dual-degree path leading to a Doctor of Medical Sciences, preparing students for academic leadership and intensive oral biology research.
- DMD-MPH
Offered in collaboration with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health for students interested in public health and health policy.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- Advanced Standing International Dentist (ASID) Track - A 29-month program for internationally trained dentists that integrates into the second year of the predoctoral curriculum.
- Preceptorship Programs - Observational programs for international dentists in specialties including Dental Implants, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and Prosthodontics.

Clinical Experiences
HSDM integrates dental education with medicine; DMD students spend their first year at Harvard Medical School studying alongside MD students before transitioning to dental-specific clinical training.
