Combined Degree Programs
- B.S./D.D.S. Combined Education Program
An accelerated six-year program (2 years undergraduate, 4 years dental) available only to Howard University students in the College of Arts and Sciences.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- International Dentist Program (IDP) - A 24-month advanced standing program for dentists with international degrees, entering at the D3 level after a summer calibration phase.

Research Themes:
Clinical Experiences
A four-year D.D.S. curriculum with early clinical exposure beginning in the second year, utilizing a Comprehensive Care Module (CCM) model with a 1:5 faculty-to-student ratio.
Clinical Rotations:
- Postdoctoral Specialty Rotations - Predoctoral students gain competency through rotations in Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- International Service Missions - Opportunities for students to participate in missions to Jamaica, Haiti, Guatemala, Sudan, Tanzania, and Guyana.
- Community Outreach Rotations - Clinical service at local Community Health Centers, Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy, and Remote Area Medical (RAM) events.
- Interprofessional Education (IPE) - Collaborative training with peers from medicine, nursing, and pharmacy programs.
