Research Themes:
Clinical Experiences
KCU-CDM uses an integrated 4-year curriculum that blends biomedical and clinical sciences. Early clinical experiences begin in the summer after the first year, with a focus on caring for underserved and rural populations.
Clinical Rotations:
- KCU Oral Health Center (OHC) - The primary clinical training facility located on the Joplin campus where students provide comprehensive care under supervision.
- Community Educational Activity Sites - Students complete two separate 12-week off-site rotations at community health centers and clinics in the four-state region.
- Score 1 for Health - A service-learning program providing health screenings and oral health education to local elementary school children.
