Combined Degree Programs
- Combined PhD and Diploma
Available in clinical specialties including Endodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics, and Prosthodontics in conjunction with a PhD in Craniofacial Science.
- Combined MSc and Diploma
Clinical specialty training (Endodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics) must be completed in combination with an MSc in Craniofacial Science.
- Combined MPH/Diploma in Dental Public Health
Offered in conjunction with the UBC School of Population and Public Health.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- International Dental Degree Completion Program (IDDCP) - Currently not accepting applications until further notice.
- Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program (DSATP) - A program for graduates of non-accredited dental specialty programs to become eligible for specialty certification in Canada.
- International Dental Hygiene Degree Completion - Entry point for qualified dental hygienists with a diploma from outside North America to earn a UBC Bachelor of Dental Science.

Clinical Experiences
An inquiry-based hybrid curriculum utilizing Problem-Based Learning (PBL), case-based learning, and clinical simulation starting in Year 1.
Clinical Rotations:
- Nobel Biocare Oral Health Centre - The primary on-campus high-tech clinical facility for patient care and clinical learning.
- Summer Student Practitioner Program (SSPP) - Incoming fourth-year students practice in private dental offices across British Columbia for up to seven weeks.
- Elizabeth Fry (EFry) Health Centre - A clinical rotation site in North Surrey serving vulnerable women and children.
- Vancouver Native Health Society - Student-led volunteer clinics in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside serving medically underserved populations.
- Florence Nightingale Elementary School - A weekly clinic providing dental services to children in an underserved community.
- Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) - Clinical training site located in the Diamond Health Care Centre for medically complex patient care.
