Combined Degree Programs
- Bachelor's Degree/DDS
A 3+4 program where University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences students count 30 s.h. of their first-year dental credit toward their bachelor's degree.
- DDS/PhD in Oral Science
An integrated research and clinical training program for students pursuing a career as a dentist-scientist.
- MS in Oral Science
Often completed in conjunction with a clinical specialty certificate program.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- Iowa Dental Advanced Standing Program (IDASP) - A 30-month program for foreign-trained dentists, including a preparatory period followed by integration into the third-year dental class.

- Extramural Clinical Rotation - A mandatory five-week rotation in the D4 year at community-based health centers, Indian Reservations, or private practices.
