Combined Degree Programs
- DMD/PhD
Established in 2012, this program trains clinician-scientists to lead academic research in oral health. Students typically take 7-8 years to complete both degrees.
- BS/DMD
An accelerated program for outstanding college freshmen committed to attending the UF College of Dentistry.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- 2-Year AEGD Program (Hialeah) - A certificate program for internationally-educated dentists that provides eligibility for the Florida Dental Board Examination but does not award a DMD degree.
- Advanced Placement in Pediatric Dentistry - A 13-month program for internationally-educated pediatric dentists to prepare for U.S. specialty practice.
- Advanced Education 1-Year Internships - Available for international dentists in topics like Dental Biomaterials, Oral Pathology, and Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology.

The curriculum provides a solid foundation in basic sciences followed by a transition to comprehensive clinical management in the DMD clinics and specialized rotations.
Clinical Rotations:
- Hospital Dentistry (DEN7443L) - A four-day rotation orienting students to procedures and protocols related to hospital-based dental care.
- Clinical Pediatric Dentistry - Observation and assistance in advanced pediatric dental care within unique clinical environments.
- Interdisciplinary Service Learning - Focuses on working with interdisciplinary teams and community service organizations.
- Dental Extramural Elective - Allows students to gain experience at other academic institutions during breaks.
