Combined Degree Programs
- DMD/MBA
A 4-year dual degree program offered in partnership with the Gatton College of Business and Economics allowing students to complete both degrees concurrently.
- DMD/MPH
Offered in collaboration with the College of Public Health.
- DMD/PhD
Integrated research and clinical degree path.
- DMD/MS
Combined clinical and Master of Science program.
- B.A. or B.S. / DMD
Accelerated or pipeline programs for undergraduate students to transition into dental school.
International Student Programs

- Oral Medicine CE Scholar Program - An in-person or online program ranging from one month to one year for domestic and international dentists to advance clinical knowledge.

Research Themes:
Clinical Experiences
The 4-year curriculum emphasizes early clinical exposure and integrates digital dentistry workflows. Clinical training moves from foundational skills to comprehensive patient care in the student clinic.
Clinical Rotations:
- AHEC Community-Based Rotations - Immersive 3-week clinical experiences at community sites across Kentucky supported by the Area Health Education Center program.
- Oral Surgery Rotation I (Ambulatory) - Focuses on management of ambulatory patients, pain control, and minor surgical procedures.
- Oral Surgery Rotation II (Hospital-based) - A full-time hospital service rotation including assisting in exodontia and biopsy procedures.
- International Extramural Rotations - Optional service-learning trips, such as the annual dental outreach mission to Puerto Rico.
- Mobile Dental Clinics - Outreach rotations providing care to underserved populations via mobile dental units.
