The University of Maryland School of Dentistry seeks to develop and foster the next generation of leading oral health care professionals while shaping the future of dental health research, education, and care.
Combined Degree Programs
- DDS/PhD
A 7-year program (can be completed in 6) designed to prepare clinical and basic biomedical scientists; limited to 2 students per year.
- DDS/MSCR
Combined Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Clinical Research.
- DDS/MPH
Combined Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Public Health.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- Advanced Program for Internationally-Trained Dentists (General Dentistry) - A 6-month continuing education observership program that follows the AEGD residency schedule.
- Advanced Program for Internationally-Trained Dentists (Prosthodontics) - A flexible or 12-month program for internationally trained dentists to enhance knowledge in the specialty of prosthodontics.
