Combined Degree Programs
- DDS/PhD in Oral Health Sciences
A 7-8 year dual degree program focused on developing dentist-scientists for academic and research careers.
- DDS/MBA
A 5-year program offered in collaboration with the Ross School of Business for leadership and business training.
- DDS/MPH
Offered in collaboration with the School of Public Health to prepare graduates for careers in public health dentistry.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- Internationally Trained Dentist Program (ITDP) - A 28-month accelerated DDS program for graduates of non-U.S. dental schools, including didactic and clinical experience.

The DDS curriculum integrates biomedical and clinical sciences with early clinical exposure and specialized 'Pathways' for professional development.
Clinical Rotations:
- Community Based Collaborative Care and Education (CBCE) - Fourth-year students spend time in external clinics across Michigan, rotating every two weeks to treat underserved populations.
- Outreach Clinics - Locations include Cherry Health in Grand Rapids, Family Health Center in Kalamazoo, and other Federally Qualified Health Centers.
