Combined Degree Programs
- MD/MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
A 6-year combined degree program offered jointly by the Faculty of Dentistry and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine for dental graduates.
International Student Programs
Other Paths:
- International Dentist Advanced Placement Program (IDAPP) - A 6-month preparatory program that leads to entry into the third year of the four-year DDS program.
- Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program (DSATP) - For graduates of non-accredited dental specialty programs wishing to practice as a specialist in Canada.

Research Themes:
Clinical Experiences
The first two years focus on basic science, diagnostics, and preclinical skills. The final two years emphasize comprehensive clinical care across 14 faculty clinics and community service learning.
Clinical Rotations:
- Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Rotation - Focused on the intersection of mental health and dentistry for third and fourth-year students.
- Community Service Learning (CSL) - Moose Factory - Remote rotation providing dental care in Northern Ontario at Weeneebayko General Hospital.
- International Student Outreach Program - Volunteer clinical opportunities in locations such as Uganda, Honduras, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic.
- Clerkship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Two-week clinical rotations for undergraduate students to experience life as a junior resident.
