Clinical Experiences
The curriculum follows a 3+1 model where the first three years cover traditional dental requirements and the fourth year is dedicated to intensive clinical experience at advanced levels.
Clinical Rotations:
- Anesthesia Rotation - Two-week rotation at University of Utah Hospital focusing on sedation, airway management, and IV placement.
- ENT/Oncology Rotation - Two-week rotation at Huntsman Cancer Hospital observing head and neck cancer surgeries and tumor boards.
- Montezuma Creek Rotation - Two-week outreach rotation with the Utah Navajo Health Systems serving rural and underserved populations.
- Emergency Department - Two-week rotation at University of Utah Hospital for triage and acute patient assessment.
- Greenwood Dental Clinic - Community-based clinical training site for diverse patient exposure.
